Andreas Traßl received his Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering from Technische Universität Dresden in 2018. Currently, he is pursuing the Ph.D. degree in wireless communications in Dresden. Andreas is working on wireless connectivity solutions for the Tactile Internet. He investigates methods to achieve the tight requirements of ultra-reliable low-latency communications in a resource-efficient manner. His research interests also include the WLAN physical layer and wireless industrial communications.

I really like that CeTI puts professional development front and center. Amongst others, I got the chance to learn about innovation management, interdisciplinary work and even listened to a course on starting up a business.
Was war Ihr bisher schönster Moment bei CeTI?
Finishing a research article, which a lot of work was put in. It is a great experience reading the paper one last time and giving it the final polish.
Was möchten Sie noch erforschen?
Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) have great potential in my opinion. I would love to explore their technological challenges beyond the wireless point of view.
Wie verbringen Sie Ihre Freizeit?
As a hobby, I really like to work on my smart home. For example, I designed and built a little circuit to control LED stripes over WLAN some years ago. Besides these projects, I am always up for a board game with friends.
