Riccardo Bassoli ist Assistenzprofessor am Lehrstuhl f\u00fcr Kommunikationsnetze der Deutschen Telekom und Leiter der Forschungsgruppe Quantenkommunikationsnetze an der Fakult\u00e4t f\u00fcr Elektrotechnik und Informatik der Technischen Universit\u00e4t Dresden (Deutschland). Er erhielt seinen B.Sc. und M.Sc. in Telekommunikationstechnik von der Universit\u00e4t Modena und Reggio Emilia (Italien) in den Jahren 2008 bzw. 2010. Anschlie\u00dfend promovierte er 2016 am 5G Innovation Centre der University of Surrey (Gro\u00dfbritannien). Au\u00dferdem war er Marie Curie Early Stage Researcher am Instituto de Telecomunica\u00e7\u00f5es (Portugal) und Gastforscher bei Airbus Defence and Space (Frankreich). Zwischen 2016 und 2019 hat er Postdoktorand an der Universit\u00e4t Trient (Italien) gemacht. Anschlie\u00dfend war er von 2019 bis 2022 Senior Researcher an der Technischen Universit\u00e4t Dresden (Deutschland).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Was sch\u00e4tzen Sie an Ihrer Arbeit bei CeTI am meisten?<\/h3>\n

Joining the CeTI Excellence Cluster and its teams is very valuable for my ongoing research on quantum communication networks and 6G. The range on interdisciplinary skills in CeTI will help to have a both wider and highly- detailed perspective on the complex challenges I am going to address. This is
\nfundamental to have a realistic view on the feasibility of the communication systems and their development. Moreover, the collaboration of CeTI with various
\nindustrial projects can be very beneficial to also envision how the solutions that will be proposed for quantum communications and 6G will be applicable to enhance industrial scenarios and future manufacturing.<\/p>\n

In my free time, I like reading books about different subjects and authors in classic poetry, ancient languages, phylosophy, phylosophy of science, economy,
\nmathematics, and physics.
