Curriculum Vitae<\/h3>\n

Paul Gottschaldt ist seit September 2022 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl Adaptive Dynamische Systeme (ADS) an der Technischen Universit\u00e4t Dresden. Bevor er an den Lehrstuhl kam, studierte er Informatik an der Technischen Universit\u00e4t Dresden, wo er im Jahr 2022 sein Diplom erhielt.<\/p>\n

    What are the main topics or questions that drive your research?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    I am interested in making hardware acceleration viable for robotics. FPGAs are promising existing devices that allow us to design energy-efficient, fast domain-specific accelerators, but programming them is quite\u00a0challenging. My research aims to reduce this burden.<\/p>\n

    What inspired you to pursue your current field of work?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of small helpers that can alleviate monotonous tasks for us humans, and I loved seeing my code interact with the real world. Working with robots in CeTI felt like a natural progression where I could combine these interests.<\/p>\n

    What excites you most about being part of CeTI?<\/strong><\/h4>\n
    The interdisciplinary collaboration. Being able to work alongside researchers from so many different fields and backgrounds brings fresh perspectives and creates opportunities for innovation that wouldn’t be possible in a single-discipline environment.<\/div>\n

    How do you like to recharge or spend your time outside of work?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    I like to stay active by working out at the gym or playing football with my local club. To relax, I enjoy reading or playing guitar.<\/p>\n
