DESCRIPTION:The “Girls for Robotics” working group for the 2025/26 school year will start again on September 23\, 2025! \nThe program Girls for Robotics offers schoolgirls from all over Saxony the opportunity to gain more experience and self-confidence in dealing with technology and thus promote their interest in scientific fields. The vision is to use Girls for Robotics to accompany girls and young women on a path to becoming self-confident engineers and specialists in the field of robotics in Saxony. \nTo inspire the girls to pursue a career in science\, the project is supported by female founders from the field of digitalisation. They can share their knowledge and experience to act as role models for the young women. Field trips to regional companies are also part of the Girls for Robotics programme. \nThe working group will meet every Tuesday afternoon at TU Dresden starting on September 23. The target group for this course is girls in grades 7 to 10 from all over Saxony. We can offer 16 places in this course. DESCRIPTION:Under the patronage of Saxony’s Minister President Michael Kretschmer\, this is now being initiated for the 21st time by the Saxon Youth Foundation. Companies\, associations and other institutions can act as employers for Saxony’s schoolchildren on this day. \nYoung people aged 14 and over can be employed for up to 8 hours on this day and are covered by accident and liability insurance through the school during the activity. The money earned is donated by TU Dresden from central budget funds directly to “genialsozial – your work against poverty” and thus supports social projects locally in Saxony and worldwide. \nCeTI is involved in the day of action as a structural unit of TU Dresden and provides support.

SUMMARY:ROBOTERSINFONIE
DESCRIPTION:The Dresden Symphony Orchestra is giving itself and its audience a spectacular present for its 25th birthday: a double concert in which robots will assist the conductor after the interval. How will the orchestra react\, what impact will the new technical possibilities have on compositions and audiences of the future? \nUnder the baton of Michael Helmrath\, 16 brass players and 4 percussionists from the Dresdner Sinfoniker will perform works by Markus Lehmann-Horn\, Konstantia Gourzi and Wieland Reissmann in the first part of the evening. After the interval\, the conductor hands over the baton of the orchestra to his robot colleague\, who immediately has to master a special challenge with the world premiere of #kreuzknoten by Wieland Reissmann. Due to its rhythmic finesse\, #kreuzknoten could not be conducted by a human being. This is followed by a commissioned work by composer and jazz pianist Andreas Gundlach for the Dresdner Sinfoniker. In Semiconductor’s Masterpiece\, Gundlach uses the cobot’s ability to lead the three-piece orchestra independently through complex rhythmic passages with three arms. The journeyman’s piece by the robot conducting student would certainly not exist in this form in normal life. \nBecome part of this experience on October 12 and 13\, 2024 in Hellerau. DESCRIPTION:From 27th August\, our new AG will start: Girls for Robots! \nThe all-day programme Girls for Robots offers schoolgirls from all over Saxony the opportunity to program robots on their own. The aim is for girls to gain more experience and self-confidence in dealing with technology and thus promote their interest in scientific fields. The vision is to use Girls for Robots to accompany girls and young women on a path to becoming self-confident engineers and specialists in the field of robotics in Saxony. \nTo inspire the girls to pursue a career in science\, the project is supported by female founders from the field of digitalisation. They can share their knowledge and experience to act as role models for the young women. Field trips to regional companies are also part of the Girls for Robots programme. \nThe AG will take place every Tuesday afternoon at TU Dresden from 27th August onwards. The target group of the offer are girls from 7th to 10th grade from all over Saxony. Currently\, the conference is planned to be in presence\, hosting authors’ presentations\, and allowing for interactions and networking among the participants.
