Curriculum Vitae
Philippa Böhnke studied mechanical engineering (Diploma) in Dresden. Her study thesis concerning the development of medical composite implants was awarded with the VDMA creativity award from Deutscher Textilmaschinenbau in 2020. After her graduation, she started working at the Institute of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology. Philippa is working in the research group of textile chemistry and textile finishing / polymer- and fiber technology. Currently she is occupied with the development of different demonstrators within CeTI.
Projects/Cooperation within CeTI you are involved in:
• Development of demonstrators (e.g. rock paper scissor)
• Research about textile sensors and actors
What do you value most about your work at CeTI?
I think what I value the most is the interdisciplinary within CeTI. It is very interesting to see challenges and developments from new and different perspectives. Further new research challenges and ideas are created in the dialogue with colleagues from other disciplines.
What was your best moment at CeTI so far?
This is very hard to say because the collaboration and people within CeTI are making every project, meeting and event to a very special one.
What else would you like to research?
I am very interested in doing research on new textile concepts for sensors and actors.
How do you spend your spare time?
This is varying. I really do like hiking but also sewing, cooking and baking. However, the most I like spending my spare time with my family and friends with good food and good conversation.
