Curriculum Vitae

Sandra Zimmermann studied information systems engineering in Dresden from 2012 to 2019 specializing in computer networks (from radio protocols to web security). As a student helper she started working on information-centric networking. After graduation she joined CeTI as PhD student. There she is working on distributed protocols, especially distributed storage solutions.

Projects/Cooperation within CeTI you are involved in:

  • setup of a network testbed
  • teaching rubik cube solving using a sensor glove and MEC

What do you value most about your work at CeTI?

The possibility to work with people and the direct feedback you get from them about the usability of technical innovations.

What was your best moment at CeTI so far?

Being able to meet everyone at the summer school barbecue.

What else would you like to research?

Derived from my hobbies I’m interested in reducing sea pollution.

How do you spend your spare time?

I spend my holidays working on a sailing ship. My normal evenings are filled with climbing or my collection of musical instruments. I’m also interested in mathematics and all kinds of related puzzles and riddles.
