I am Lisa Weidmüller. I studied “Media Research, Media Practice” in my Bachelor’s degree and “Applied Media Research” in my Master’s degree at the Institute of Communication Science (IfK) at TU Dresden. Since 2017, I have been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Science and Technology Communication at the IfK and in the Cluster of Excellence “Centre for Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop” (CeTI) on research into public perception and acceptance of new information technologies.

What was your favorite subject?

My favorite subject at school was English, but geography, sports and art were close behind.

What was your dream job as a child?

As a child, I didn’t have one particular dream job. What I wanted most was to travel to many countries, learn many languages and discover new things – in that sense, I think I’m in good hands in science.

What do you like about Dresden?

I really like living in Dresden because the city has pretty much everything you could wish for. The Elbe and the baroque old town offer a nice contrast to the alternative, trendy Neustadt district. You can also quickly get out of the hustle and bustle, for example in the Dresden Heath or a little further afield in Saxon Switzerland.

What do you like to do most in your free time?

In my free time, I particularly enjoy climbing, preferably outdoors in Saxon Switzerland, of course.

Do you prefer coffee or tea?

Depending on the situation: Coffee when I need to wake up, tea when it’s raining outside and I can make myself really comfortable.
