On June 26th, the Cluster of Excellence CeTI and the ComNets team welcomed around 700 visitors to the BAR building and the HSZ meadow for a highly successful Science Night. From 5:00 PM until midnight, the campus transformed into a vibrant hub of discovery where guests of all ages could experience the future of the Tactile Internet and Human-Cyber-Physical Systems up close. The diverse crowd explored a wide range of interactive stations, bridging the gap between complex engineering and the public through immersive, hands-on science.

The evening featured an impressive lineup of cutting-edge demonstrators across multiple university locations. On the HSZ meadow, crowds gathered to watch juggling demonstrations and interact live with our popular Boston Dynamics robot dogs, Spot. Inside the BAR building and ComSpace, the excitement continued with highlight exhibits including the advanced humanoid robot Ameca and had a look into the headset-free virtual realities in the Holodeck. Visitors also had the opportunity to dive into specialized applications like Negative Latency, Spirit Fingers, and a walkable operating room, showcasing how low-latency communication reshapes human-technology interaction.

Another highlight of the night was the popular quiz rally, which guided participants through our various exhibition stations and rewarded everyone who answered all the questions with a prize. Thanks to the amazing dedication of the entire organizing team and all the helpers who were on duty from the morning setup until midnight, the event was a resounding and unforgettable success.
