BeWISE 2018 at TU Dresden

TU Dresden organised a conference which was addressed to female young scientists and junior research group leaders of selected DFG coordinated programmes at the TU Dresden. The patroness of the event was Dr. Eva-Maria Stange, State Ministry of Science and Arts. Besides the welcome by the Vice-Rector for University Development of TU Dresden, Prof. Dr. Antonio M. Hurtado, a keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Brigitte Voit, Managing Director/Chief Scientific Officer (CSO), Leibniz-Institut für Polymerforschung e. V. Dresden took place. The three-day conference offered numerous workshops (parallel workshops in English) and coaching opportunities.

During the fireplace talks with experienced female professors (role-models), the participants were able to get into a conversation with them on pathways in research. Moreover, this conference is especially suited to establish networks among researchers.
