The MiniSphere demonstrator shows the application of the principles of the latest communication technology to the motion planning and orchestration of robot groups enabling multi-robot collaboration with collision-free assurance. Through inherent optimisation of path-planning algorithms and flexible network modelling, the local overlapping of many assembly processes can be calculated to compress future assembly lines into the smallest possible space. The multi-robot setup can co-operate in the tightest of spaces. This enables batch size one production for a wide range of applications.
