This week researchers from Nanyang Technological University (NTU Singapore) visited the TU Dresden and the CeTI to exchange insights on current research activities and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
During the visit, Shu-Chen Li presented CeTI’s research vision, highlighting work on expectancy-guided multisensory perception, brain plasticity across the lifespan, and the development of age-inclusive digital technologies within the CeTI2 framework. The presentation illustrated how neuroscientific research is integrated with Tactile Internet technologies to advance adaptive, human-centered digital systems.
Following the presentation, the visiting researchers experienced a live demonstration of one of CeTI’s immersive virtual reality research environments. The demonstration showcased how contextual expectations and digitally augmented tactile feedback influence human perception and brain activity, exemplifying CeTI’s interdisciplinary approach that combines neuroscience, computer science, and engineering.
The visit provided overall an excellent opportunity for scientific exchange and for strengthening international collaboration.
