Harsimran Singh

Harsimran Singh received his B.Tech degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology in 2009, and M.Sc. in robotics from the University of the West of England in 2012. In 2017, he received his Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Korea University of Technology and Education. He is currently a research scientist with the Institute of Robotics and Mechatronics at German Aerospace Center (DLR). His research interests include haptics, teleoperation, nonlinear control and novel actuators.

Projects/Cooperation within CeTI you are involved in:

  • Collaborate with K1 partners to adapt and amalgamate control approaches to enrich telepresence (K1).
  • Designing the Ferro-Vibe: a ferro-fluid based tactile device for cuing orientation and texture information (TP2).
  • Planned: Integration of technologies in U-room(s).

CeTI provides the platform to participate in collaborations with researchers of diverse backgrounds and area of expertise, which is a great opportunity to conduct multimodal research while offering valuable insights into new domains of technology.

What else would you like to research?

It would be interesting to integration the Ferro-Vibe with the CeTI body suit.

How do you spend your spare time?

Reading different genre of books.
