Zhi Qiao
I’m a PhD student in Human-Machine-Interface at Fraunhofer. Before that, I had several years of work experience as an electrical engineer and research assistant in various fields, e.g. medical technology, power electronics, fire protection technology, LED lighting for use in optical inspection systems and skin measurement technology. The main directions in my master study are medical technology and automation technology.

What is your research interest?
Medical technology, wearable device, automatic recognition e.g. hand gesture recognition and eye tracking, 5G and cloud technology, machine learning
What motivated you to do what you do today?
I really have passion in the field of IoT, cloud technology and medical technology. I hope to be able to find out my own typical research area and make out breakthroughs in it. Also I hope to work as a professor at the university afterwards.
What do you find particularly interesting about CeTI?
IoT, cloud technology, remote control, AR and VR technology and automatic driving.
To which question have you not found an answer lately?
Is it possible to build a AR glass for the blind people to help them to see the world, with the imaging on the eyelid.
