Last week, CeTI had the pleasure of welcoming seven students from the Martin-Andersen-Nexö-Gymnasium Dresden for an inspiring project week that brought fresh perspectives into our research labs. Over several days, the students immersed themselves in different facets of modern technology, exploring how research is conducted, controlled, and communicated in a professional environment.

The group divided their focus to cover the diverse spectrum of our work. While some students dove into the world of science communication – learning the essential art of translating complex scientific ideas into clear, engaging messages for the public – the others gained hands-on experience in the fields of programming and robotics at the CeTIBAR. These groups explored the intricate interaction between software and hardware, discovering how researchers develop and control the robotic systems that drive modern communication technologies.

A special highlight of the week was the final presentation, where the students synthesized their experiences into a professional poster. By presenting their findings, they didn’t just conclude their time at CeTI, but officially became science ambassadors who will now share their knowledge with their classmates back at school.

We are deeply impressed by the curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm these young talents brought to our institute and hope that this week has sparked a lasting inspiration for their future careers in science.
