During the winter holidays, our labs at CeTI were full of energy: we hosted a hands-on robotics program for young participants curious about technology and innovation.

The program began with an introduction to CeTI’s research and the fundamentals of robotics. Through interactive presentations and live demonstrations, the students gained their first insights into human–machine interaction and discovered how intelligent systems are developed and applied in real-world contexts.

On Tuesday and Thursday, participants stepped into the RoboLab to program the UR5 robot, gaining practical experience in controlling a real robotic system. Midweek, our interactive “Level Up” coding activities combined learning with creativity — followed by a sweet highlight at the CeTI Bar, where we baked cinnamon rolls together.

To round off the week, LEGO robotics and additional programming exercises allowed the students to apply their newly acquired knowledge in small team projects. On Friday afternoon, we were delighted to welcome parents for a final showcase. With great enthusiasm, the participants presented their projects and demonstrated what they had learned over the course of just a few days.

The winter robotics program once again highlighted how inspiring early exposure to research and technology can be. We would like to thank everyone involved for contributing to such an energetic and rewarding week — and we are already looking forward to the next edition.
